March Blog Challenge – Day 27

Hi Readers,

I am so sorry that I disappeared on you in the middle of this challenge, I can’t believe I missed 5 days of posting. Anyway, instead of dwelling on the past, how about we just right into today’s topic: Talk about a new show that you are addicted to.

Ok, so one of my friends just recently got me into the Netflix show “Daredevil”. Now I know a bunch of you are thinking, wow – talk about coming late to the party, and you are absolutely right!

Daredevil is definitely one of my newest obsessions when it comes to show to watch. All the reality and gore of a rated R movie, that I can watch in the comfort of my own room (an episode a day or binge half the season in 1 day.

I will also admit that I was a little hesitant about watching anything Daredevil, as I was not a really big fan of the movie starring Ben Affleck. Don’t get me wrong, I liked it, it just was not one of my super favorite, hands down I could watch this over and over again for the rest of my life kind of movie. The show however, Oh Mylanta Batman, I can officially say that I am hooked!!

I love the depth that you see in the characters, you can feel the struggles they are facing together, and on their own. This might also be unusual for someone to say, but I even like the story line between Wilson Fisk and Veronica, I like how it shows this man who is the villain wants to make a connection with someone and is not just some cold-hearted take over the world type. I mean, I still don’t like him, but I like that they show that he is human and susceptible to basic human desires like companionship.

And seeing Elden Henson on screen again is just so great. Elden plays Foggy Nelson, Matt Murdock (Daredevil) best friend and partner – but the first movie that I ever saw Elden Henson in was the 1992 classic, “The Mighty Ducks” playing the character Fulton Reed. I love all of the actors in this show, they each bring something new to the character that I would have never though was something that character needed, and the best part…. It works!

For those of you that have seen it, I am so glad I can now talk with you about it, and for those who have not seen it yet – WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??? Don’t wait a day longer, watch it – infact watch all of the Marvel shows on Netflix.

Having talked with my friend I have been told that if you want to watch and have the story lines all make sense, then you have to watch it in this order:

-Daredevil Season 1
-Jessica Jones
-Daredevil Season 2
-Luke Cage
-Iron Fist

So take the advice of someone who came late to the party, Daredevil (and the other Marvel Netflix shows) is a must watch! Do not let this show slip past you!!

Till next time Readers!
