So I was sick yesterday – laid up with a migraine, sadly looking at a computer screen was just making it worse. So I missed my blog yesterday. So here goes with Day 10 blog.
Day 10 – share a photo of your favorite place to eat
So there are lots of places where I like to eat, but sadly, I don’t have a picture of any of those places. However, the place I want to talk about in this blog post is not a restaurant. My favorite place to eat is my house.
I haven’t really gone into it before, but I have a lot of food allergies. Most of them, are not anything that I need an epi-pen for, they mostly mess with my metabolism and my system.
I have been following the Paleo Lifestyle plan, which has been going great, but back around the time I started this blog my mom and I started doing the Auto-Immune Protocol with the Paleo program. With this new lifestyle of eating, I have learned to eat a lot of new things and they are DELICIOUS!!!
My favorite, we actually had as a side dish with dinner last night.Its a macaroni and cheese dish that is made with plantains. it is probably the best AIP Paleo side dish I have ever had. We found it in the latest cookbook from Dr. Sarah Ballantyne, also known as “The Paleo Mom” (The Paleo Mom), the cook book is called The Healing Kitchen, written with Alaena Haber (blogger who writes Grazed and Enthused).
I never thought I would be OK with eating healthy food, but these food allergies and this way of living my life has opened my eyes to the fact that eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring, and that the best meal anywhere is right at home with my family.
